Office Space Conversion Underway for Residential Real Estate Broker Angie Cole

New Space Under Construction for Raleigh Prosthodontics Office

Work is underway in the renovation/interior fit-up project to create a new office for Doctors Gray and Scurria. We’re excited to get these prosthodontic dentists up and running soon in their new environment overlooking Raleigh’s beltline – Stay tuned for the final product

Construction Complete at Hillsborough Commons

HMD is proud to have recently completed construction on this approximately 10,000 SF outparcel building at Hillsborough Commons Shopping Center in Hillsborough, NC, which is located across from the proposed Daniel Boone Village. Once 310 Architecture + Interiors designed the building, HMD’s team transformed an old parking lot into an upscale medical office building that our clients and the Town of Hillsborough are proud to call their own. We enjoyed working with a variety of textures and materials to create something exceptional. Kudos to everyone involved in this project!

Construction Dictionary: Shell Building

We’re sometimes asked, “what’s a shell building?” This term is often used when referring to new office buildings and shopping centers in which site work and a building exterior have been constructed, but the interior is left unfinished in order for future tenants to design their space to accommodate their business needs. Once the space is leased, a plan designer is then hired who will lay out the addition of walls, fixtures, flooring, plumbing, etc., within the shell building, based on specific tenant needs. These photos show a few examples of recent shell buildings HMD has built for future office and retail leasing opportunities.

Spotlight on Education

The HMD team was delighted to build the Trinity Academy Atrium as an extension to the school’s gymnasium, Founders Hall, in 2015. The HMD Atrium project added 3,100 square feet to the Founders Hall to provide a cafeteria and additional event space. Skilled masons brought in by HMD lent their expertise in completing a wow-inspired fireplace as well as a unique, Trinity alumni-designed brickyard around the Atrium. The result? Absolutely lovely!! HMD is proud to have been the contractor of choice in this project, where the company’s attention to detail and ability to exceed expectations will continue to be on display for years to come.

Functional and Efficient Commercial Design

HMD is #ThankfulinDecember for our Commercial Renovation & Fit-Up clients! An excellent example is the Edward Jones office we recently completed. This one in particular was for Elizabeth Perry, who has leased out the suite within our building. We hope Elizabeth, her clients, and her Edward Jones team enjoy their new space for years to come. We appreciate you!
