The HMD team was delighted to partner with Cape Fear Seafood Company on their second Raleigh location in The Village District. Reclaimed windows within the restaurant’s interior, the original 1949 flooring, already in the hue of a sandy beach, and wood herringbone detail behind the bar (which our trim carpenter enjoyed installing!) all combined to evoke a feeling of actually being on the coast. The outside patio is equally charming with overhead string lights and ceiling fans for keeping cool in warm weather. This project was a pleasure – We wish Cape Fear Seafood Company much success going forward!

Any seafood lovers out there? HMD is excited to have been awarded the fit-up (buildout) for the next Cape Fear Seafood Company restaurant in Raleigh. Can you guess where this new location will be? A few hints: Imagine a warm spring afternoon, shopping in some of Raleigh’s most chic stores, strolling down red brick sidewalks, and completing your day with a delectable dish of shrimp and grits paired with the perfect cocktail… Surrounded by an amazing atmosphere that makes you think just for a moment that you’re in vibrant Wilmington!
The HMD team was pleased to perform the build-out/fit-up work for Courtney Bowman’s new retail space, Raleigh Cheesy, her first-ever storefront, located in Olive Chapel Professional Park in Apex. As a local celebrity, Courtney creates the most delicious and beautiful charcuterie boards you can possibly imagine! While Raleigh Cheesy was busy with the new store opening, the company picked up the “Best Local Artisan Food Award” from WRAL’s Voter Choice Awards and was also featured in the WRAL’s Foodie News. Shout out to Bethany Perry for the interior design of the striking store. Be sure to stop by the now open Raleigh Cheesy to see these amazing charcuterie creations for yourself… Expect to be impressed!
What a pleasure for our team to execute the fit-up for KiKi Wolford’s new salon, Menagerie Style House! Located at Gateway Plaza just outside of Raleigh’s historic Mordecai, Menagerie Style House is one of the businesses transforming Gateway Plaza into reimagined retail and creative office space. It was both an honor and a pleasure for the HMD team to build the brand new 20,000 square foot manufacturing facility for Autonetics, a global leader in industrial metrology and automation, located just outside Pittsboro, NC.
