The past and present enjoyed a sentimental crossover this past fall, when HMD Construction had the opportunity to collaborate with the Cash family of Taylor’s Wine Shop on a renovation project. Besides the fact that the building has been a North Raleigh landmark for almost 100 years, our team was excited and honored to do this work for our good family friends!

Raleigh natives, Kenneth and Bryant, of HMD have been loyal customers of Taylor’s for many years; the Dickinson family has enjoyed a long-standing friendship with store owners Taylor and Ben Cash. The current Dickinson children are growing up with Taylor’s too, making their own bike treks to the store for its famous breakfast biscuits and other goodies.

Located in the heart of North Raleigh on Six Forks Road, just north of I-540, Taylor’s is as well known for its friendly staff as for its uncommon combination of selling gas, live bait, an extensive selection of fine wines, and an eclectic array of beer choices. Shoppers delight in these items, as well as Taylor’s selection of local artisan-crafted chocolates, honey, jams, and coffees, amidst other finds.

The HMD team admires the manner in which Taylor’s Wine Shop continues to evolve to meet the needs of its customers. We took great pride in being the contractor of choice in the shop’s renovation, and we heartily invite each of you to become, as we have, a part of the Taylor’s Wine Shop extended family!

HMD Construction was pleased to provide construction services to deliver a beautiful environment for Maeve Salon and Color Bar. Located in Apex, Maeve is all about high-quality client experience. The salon was designed with this in mind, providing a luxury atmosphere for clients and employees alike.

Soon after their February 2020 grand opening, COVID-19 forced Maeve Salon to close. Despite the closure, owners Brie Whalen and Tiffany Weaver compensated their employees, allowing eight stylists to remain on staff. WRAL-TV recently featured their experience and the steps taken to keep business alive in their brand new space. Take a look by clicking here!

Maeve Salon is now re-opened, pampering clients with close attention given to safety. To learn more, visit MaeveSalon.com.

Kudos to Maeve from the team at HMD Construction!
