New year? Yes, please! Here’s to the future!

You can typically find Autumn, the HMD office dog sleeping (or pretending she is), but boy does she love sharing her Christmas cheer! Well done, girl! The HMD team joins Autumn in wishing you the happiest of holidays!!

We want to wish all of our clients, friends, and family a very happy Thanksgiving!

The HMD team is very excited for Dr. Caban to soon open his new office, Phycinity, a pediatric practice located at 6801 Falls of Neuse Road in North Raleigh. Featuring state-of-the-art technology in 4,000 SF of new space, Phycinity will be an innovative pediatric practice equipped to offer cutting edge testing services not offered by most general practitioners. We can’t wait to see this space decorated! What kid wouldn’t enjoy going to a doctor’s office that looks like this?

Thank you friends for your support regarding the truck owned by our VP, Bryant Dickinson. As you may recall, we took a poll recently to see if Bryant should stick to his beloved (but old!) GMC truck or replace it for a new one. After careful consideration on Bryant’s part, we’re happy to report Bryant finally decided to get a new set of wheels… We know he misses his old girl, but we congratulate him on moving forward!!

HMD takes pride in the work our superintendents perform day in and day out as they schedule our trade partners to arrive at the proper times to accomplish important tasks. They make it look easy for exterior finishes to be completed while interior work is simultaneously taking place, delivering exceptional space not only on time, but frequently ahead of schedule! This week we give a shoutout to our Autonetics’ superintendent for his beautiful construction site, inside and out… Congrats on a job well done, Ray!

6801 Falls of the Neuse Road is welcoming a new tenant to their line-up, F&M Bank! Chartered in 1909, F&M Bank is growing across NC and is committed to forging real relationships with customers, keeping community spirit alive. HMD was excited to work with another locally owned company in its expansion into the Raleigh area. Opening soon, F&M will offer an ATM at this prime North Raleigh location.

Kenneth and Bryant Dickinson, brothers and co-owners of HMD, are eighth generation natives of Wake County. Their documented family history extends back to the early 1740s on their mother’s side with the Olives and Carters from the Apex/Holly Springs area; this history will be posted soon! In addition, their father and paternal grandparents contributed greatly to the growth of Raleigh over the last 80 years.

Kenneth and Bryant’s grandfather, Dr. Kenneth Dickinson, aka “Dr. D,” was one of the only obstetricians in Raleigh during the 1940s. Initially partnering with Dr. Ivan Proctor, he later opened the first stand-alone medical office building in Raleigh, on the corner of St. Marys and Tucker Street.

Their grandmother, Genevieve “Jean” Dickinson, opened one of the first shops in Cameron Village back when it was the only shopping center between Washington DC and Atlanta. Jean Dickinson Gifts and Decorative Accessories was located near Nowell’s, Burton’s, and Village Pharmacy (which later became Kerr Drugs). Jean traveled to High Point, New York, and other regions to provide her clients the very best in interiors.

Kenneth and Bryant’s father, Kenneth Dickinson II, aka “Dockey,” worked with top developers and founded Dickinson, Logan, Todd & Barber, Inc, a commercial mortgage brokerage firm with multiple offices in the Southeast that provided financing for and investments in many buildings and projects that continue to grace the Raleigh skyline as well as other cities throughout the southeast.

Today, Kenneth and Bryant specialize in commercial fit-up, renovation, new construction, and development services in the greater Raleigh-Durham/Triangle area of NC, adding to the rich history of their family by assisting new medical practices and retail stores as well as a wide range of other businesses. Kenneth and Bryant are proud to build upon their family’s strong foundation.

The team at Campbell & Farrelly Cosmetic & Family Dentistry are seeing patients in their beautiful new 3,000 SF facility at 355 Village Walk Drive in Holly Springs. HMD Construction was pleased to deliver an artfully crafted space that includes five exam rooms and two hygiene rooms offering sedation services.

It was our pleasure to provide construction services to bring their vision to life while incorporating the latest technology and finishes in the industry.

The HMD team is pleased to provide start-to-finish construction services for Autonetics, a Cary-based supplier of factory automation, software integration, metrology solutions, and software development.

Our project entails the construction of a 20,000 SF manufacturing facility in Chatham County’s Moncure.

Stay tuned for progress reports!
