Triangle Restaurant Week 2026 is coming! Get ready to savor the best flavors the Triangle has to offer! We’re excited to share the completion of Timber Pizza at 501 Washington Street, Suite H, Durham, NC. This approximately 2,000 SF space marks Timber Pizza’s second North Carolina location—and we’re especially proud to have partnered with them again as a repeat client.

From start to finish, this project reflects the collaborative relationships we value and the trust our clients place in us as they continue to grow. Congratulations to the Timber Pizza team on another great space—we’re thrilled to see this Durham location come to life!

We’re excited about what’s ahead this year—connecting, learning, and building across North Carolina.

Here’s what we’re looking forward to:

  • North Carolina Academy of General Dentistry events
  • Dental talks with 3rd-year students at UNC & ECU
  • North Carolina Dental Society events
  • North Carolina Veterinary Conference
  • ECU Job Fair
  • And of course, all the exciting new projects breaking ground in 2026

Here’s to a year of growth, relationships, and great work ahead.

Happy New Year! Here’s to a bright and prosperous 2026.

To those we have had the pleasure of working with this year, we wish you a Merry Christmas! We extend our heartfelt thanks to our clients, partners, and collaborators.

We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of the new 3,980 sq ft worship building for St. Raphael Orthodox Church in Fuquay-Varina, NC! This ground-up project marks an exciting milestone for the congregation and the surrounding community.

From foundations to finishing touches, this project was a true testament to teamwork, craftsmanship, and thoughtful collaboration with the church leadership. The new space will serve as a place of worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth for years to come.

We’re honored to be part of bringing this meaningful project to life for such a welcoming and devoted parish.

We’re excited to share the completion of one of our newest projects, Lucci Blue’s Social Cafe & Deli in Fuquay-Varina! This beautiful new space brings a warm European-inspired atmosphere to the community, complete with rich textures, inviting lighting, and thoughtful details that make it feel instantly welcoming.

From the early vision to the final finishing touches, it was an honor to help bring Lucci Blue’s concept to life. Their passion for creating a place where people can gather over great food, coffee, wine, and conversation is evident in every corner of the space.

If you’re in the area, stop by 209 Fayetteville Street to enjoy handcrafted espresso, curated wines, fresh deli offerings, and a cozy neighborhood vibe. It’s a wonderful addition to downtown Fuquay-Varina, and we’re proud to have played a part in making it a reality.

We had an incredible evening at the North Harbor Club on Lake Norman! It was great connecting with so many veterinary professionals and hearing real, honest conversations about practice ownership, growth, and long-term planning.

We are grateful for the insights shared by our panel and attendees, including Roger Layman, Carly Watson Tobler, Rusty Russell, CFP®, CWS®, CKA®, CEPA®, Chris Greene, and Michael Burger.

A few key themes really stood out: corporate medicine may be growing, but many veterinarians still aspire to ownership, and long-term planning is essential to making that dream successful. Early conversations with a financial planner, regular management appraisals every few years, and a true practice valuation (beyond topline revenue) all play a crucial role in identifying opportunities, protecting profitability, and maximizing value when it’s time to transition or exit.

It was a privilege for HMD to be part of this discussion, and we’re looking forward to continuing the conversation.

Happy Thanksgiving from the team at HMD! May your weekend be full of gratitude and good food!
